Meyrick and Associates advice on land transport issues spans a broad spectrum including policy, pricing, regulation and governance arrangements, commercial, operational and funding issues.

Meyrick has a long history in the analysis of road pricing and funding issues that dates back to the establishment of the National Road Transport Commission (NRTC) in 1991. Under the leadership of Director Neil Aplin, whose career history includes periods as the inaugural head of the NRTC and as CEO of the Tasmanian Department of Transport, we have provided advice to governments and road agencies on matters ranging from the appropriate legislative framework for regulation and strategic planning in the road sector to the appropriate charges for access by high mass vehicles to specific road sectors.

Other projects include the definition of road networks for high productivity vehicles, strategies for improving the implementation of Performance Based Standards and an analysis of road research needs. We have also provided assistance in the assessment of road transport cost, both in logistics planning studies and in providing support in contract negotiations.

We also assist the industry with regulatory compliance, including the development of codes of practice.
